Muladhara, or the “root” chakra, is an energy center which is associated with a sense of security, physical strength and fitness, and a connection to the Earth. The color red, the planet Saturn, lavender oil, cedarwood and patchouli incense, wood, and crystals such as tigers eye, smoky quarts or any red crystals are associated with Muladhara and are excellent tools to use in your meditations when looking to balance the root chakra.

I have included in this post a couple of pictures to contemplate when deciding how you will go about your healing journey. A delicious meal of black beans, potato, and tofu, accompanied by a warm cup of very Earthy spiced chai tea is a perfect meal to inspire a feeling of being grounded to the Earth.

A beautiful, red crystal formation that I happened to come across on my journey. Meditating on a crystal formation makes meditation easy as it brings you in and you feel so in awe of the beauty and magic of what this planet is capable of creating!

Then there is a statue of Buddha, reminding you that all of your needs will be met, as your true needs are very few. Beside Buddha is a small ram, a symbol of power, energy, protection and fearlessness.

Good luck on your healing journey,

Mary Ann
